Yes, both Democrats and Republicans are liberals, but they are still different...sort of.

A topic that comes up frequently is how similar to each other both Democrat and Republican parties are.  David Koyzis, who teaches political science at Redeemer College, has an explanation that I—for whatever it’s worth—find persuasive.  At any rate, I think anyone who wants to have an informed opinion on the matter should read the post.  Important to understanding his explanation is grasping his five stages in the development of liberalism.
